As the mythology goes, Ramtek was the location where Shri Ram, the Hindu God along with his wife, Sita and his brother Laxman rested during his exile period. There is a famous Rama Temple here, Gadh Mandir making Ramtek a pilgrimage destination.
Ramgiri is a wonderful Places Near Pench. Kalidas the great Indian Sanskrit poet and dramatist was hugely inspired by then Ramgiri, modern day Ramtek's beauty which is predominantly evident in his literary work. Some of his famous works include Shakuntalam(historical drama) and Meghdoot(epic poem).

Gadh Mandir :-
Gadh MandirThis temple is in honour of the Hindu God Rama, who along with his wife and younger brother had taken shelter here to rest while on his exile.
It is believed that Kalidasa derived his inspiration to compile his world famous poetry, Meghdoot in the hills of Ramtek. This add to the attraction of the place.

Located in the AVSM (Aravali, Vindhyanchal, Satpura and Maikal Ranges) belt, this teak forest is a different and a pleasant surprise to the normal and scenic parks of Kanha and Bandhavgarh. The tracks are smoother, the trees are thicker with dense undergrowth, perhaps one reason why the herbivore population here is more larger in size compared to Kanha and Bandhavgarh. There is a distinct silence here. You feel you are the King, when suddenly your driver halts seeing the Pugmarks of the actual King of the area. A Tiger has just crossed, he shows them to you, and suddenly an alarm call from one of the denizens of the forest. your driver, your natura list are all alert. Looking in the direction of the call, eye balls much bigger than usual, heart pounding at 120 beats a minute. Ears as big as of an Elephant, you want to see the true King of Pench. The drama, unfolds, and you are in Pench, the true and original Kipling Country.
Dragon Palace Temple :-
Dragon Palace Temple is a Buddhist temple, situated in Kamptee, a satellite township of Nagpur district. It is dedicated to Lord Buddha and boasts of striking architecture and picturesque landscape. The temple was founded by Mother Noriko Ogawa Society of Japan. Sprawled over an area of approximately 10 acres, Dragon Palace Temple comprises of a magnificent Buddhist prayer centre, which offers peace and serenity to its visitors. Enshrined on the first floor of the Meditation Hall of the temple is a colossal statue of Lord Buddha. The idol is said to have been carved out of a single block of sandalwood. Some time back, Dragon Palace Temple of Kamptee was felicitated with the International Award for the best concrete structure of the world.
Ramdham, located in Ramtek(Mansar), just 35kms from Nagpur has the distinction of being first and only spiritual-religious-tourism park of its kind in India. The idea behind Ramdham is that the poor who cannot afford to go on costly pilgrimages all over India can have a darshan at one place. Ramdham is a place one can look forward to, for solace and peace from worldly cares. All the teerths of the country under one roof- namely the Ashtavinayaks of vidarbha and Maharashtra, the twelve Jyotirlingas of India and the auspicious Vaishnoo Devi temple can be seen together and sought the blessings of in an artificially constructed hill or 'Chandra Parvat'.The world's biggest structure of 'OM' measuring 350 feet long marks the beauty of Ramdham. Inside the OM is a picturesque through Ramayana through fourteen episodes, while on teh outer side is the picturesque description of Krishna Leela and idols of Lord Hanuman, Sai baba, and Gajanan Maharaj. The cave of Baba amarnath has been recently added which has a Shivlinga made of ice. Every evening you can enjoy Rajasthani folk dances, magic show and puppet show in artificial caves.
Mansar Excavation :-
Archaeological excavations near the village of Mansar (Maharashtra), 47km north of Nagpur and 5km west of the Ramagiri (Ramtek), have brought to light an astonishing temple (Pravaresvara) and residential complex (Pravarapura) along with a collection of superb sculptures and other artefacts, which date to the first half of the 5th century CE when the Vakataka monarchs, Prabhavati Gupta and Pravarasena ruled the area.
